Lake Area Bug Control was founded in Lindstrom, MN, by my late uncle, Rod. His inspiration came from a deeply personal experience—his grandson contracted Lyme disease from a deer tick. Watching someone he loved suffer from the disease was heartbreaking.
Rod’s grandchildren loved playing outside, but mosquitoes and ticks were a constant nuisance, bringing discomfort and the risk of disease. Frustrated by the limited pest control options available, he took matters into his own hands. Determined to find a better solution, he connected with industry experts and conducted extensive research. After countless hours of learning and preparation, he launched a business dedicated to protecting families in their own backyards—just as he had wanted to protect his own.
